- Cleaning/Care:
Cleaning wooden serving boards requires a gentle approach to prevent damage to the wood's surface. Here is a general cleaning protocol for serving boards made of wood:
- Scrape off any food particles or debris from the board using an appropriate stiff-bristled brush.
- Wash the board with warm, soapy water using a sponge or cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive scrubbers that could scratch or damage the surface.
- Rinse the board thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue.
- Dry the board with a clean towel, and then let it air dry completely before storing it.
- To sanitize the board, you can use a solution of one part white vinegar to four parts water. Apply the solution to the board and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with clean water.
- To remove any odors or stains from the board, you can sprinkle it with baking soda and scrub it gently with a damp sponge or cloth. Rinse the board with clean water and let it dry completely.
- To maintain the board's condition, you can apply a food-grade mineral oil or beeswax conditioner to the surface periodically. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application and drying time.
Remember to never soak a wooden serving board in water, and never using the dishwasher, as it can cause warping or cracking. Also, never use bleach or harsh chemicals on a wooden board, as it can damage the surface and pose a risk to food safety.
By renting the serving boards from us, the renter agrees to all of the above terms and conditions.
